Science tutorials take place at Clicain Village hall and Clicain Chapel. Other venues in Ruthin, Mold, and Chester are available subject to demand.
Tutorials are delivered by a fully qualified CRB/DBS checked former science teacher with 12 years of A level and GCSE teaching and tutoring experience.
Key aspects of the GCSE, AS, and A2 level specifications are taught and analysed using past examination paper questions.
Using past examination questions helps to develop the students ability to recognise the language and command words commonly used by examiners. This enables students to maximise the number of marks scored for each type of examination question. Furthermore students learn to identify and avoid common mistakes that are made when answering examination questions.
Overall this approach allows students to be confident that during the examination the style and language of questions will be familiar to them so that they can answer each question effectively.
